At least three people have died, including an eight-year-old boy, after two explosions went off yesterday afternoon near the finish line of the Boston Marathon. At least 144 others were injured in the blasts, including eight children, according to hospitals in the area
•The explosions occurred at approximately 2:50 p.m., more than two hours after the race's first-place finisher crossed the finish line. Nearly 27,000 runners participated in the event.
•Both the Red Cross and Google have set up special websites for people to find their loved ones who may have been in the area.
•There have been several reports that the FBI is interviewing a person of interest at a local hospital, but Boston Police Commissioner Ed Davis said "there is no suspect" at this time.
•The National Guard has been called in to secure the crime scene and the FBI is investigating and looking at surveillance video.
•Two additional unexploded devices were found in the area and dismantled.
•A fire at the nearby JFK Library appears to be unrelated to the explosions, officials said.
•Monday night's Boston Bruins hockey game against the Ottawa Senators and Tuesday night's Celtics basketball game against the Indiana Pacers have been postponed.
•Major cities from Washington, D.C. and New York to Los Angeles were put on heighten alert after the bombings in Boston.
•The IRS has extended the tax deadline for those in the Boston area.
